(320 FM 2093) Another place that sells out, this is where the locals go! We have tried every Barbeque place in Fredericksburg, but our preference is Back Woods Barbeque, HANDS DOWN. We recommend the (trust us) cheesy green beans, the moist brisket and any piece of pie or cake to top off your gluttony. This place is one of our favorites! Hours: Open Wednesday through Saturday 11am-8pm, Sunday 11am-2pm. Sundays are big sell-out days with the church crowd.

Cabernet Grill

(2805 S State Hwy 16) Hands down, the most superior dining experience in all of Fredericksburg. This is where we refer all our couples celebrating Elopements, Engagements, Weddings and a Tuesday. Everything on the menu is recommended & the service is superior. Sun-Tues-Sat 5pm-9pm, Closed Sun & Mon. Reservations ALWAYS recommended ASAP as they do book in advance! - 830-990-5734

Eaker BBQ

(607 W Main St) Trust us! This is the BEST Barbecue on/around Main Street! Voted "Texas Monthly's Top 50 BBQ Joints in Texas" and for good reason. Tastiest, most mindful, perfectly-seasoned BBQ every time. You can bite into anything you order and taste the skill and experience. Do not fail to stop at Eaker's. You'll be glad you did! It's a little pricier than other barbecue places, but quality doesn't come cheap. Avoid the masses and get the good stuff here. Hours: 11-3 Wednesday-Saturday, Closed Sunday-Tuesday.

(108 E Austin St) This Pie place sells out quickly so it’s recommended you get there by 1pm if you go. It’s one thing to feel guilty for the delicious abundance of calories, it’s another to feel the guilt of eating the last piece of pie! These pies are ALL incredible…6 stars out of 5! Hours: They are only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-2pm but like we said, they DO sell out daily.

(210 S Adams St) — If you’re trying to escape the heavy, food weight feeling of dining out all weekend, this is the place! Fresh ingredients, attention to quality nutrition with a menu to appease everyone in your group, we love this place. They tie with Pecan Grove for the best burger in Fredericksburg. Hours: Mon-Thurs 11am - 9pm,
Fri 11am - 10pm, Sat Brunch 9am - 3 pm, Sat Dinner 4pm - 10pm, Sunday Brunch 9am - 3pm

LaTequla Jalisco

LaTequila Jalisco

(1035 S State Highway 16) Good Mexican food and off Main Street (away from the tourists, for now). Of all the Mexican food choices, we highly recommend this one! The Sonora plate is wonderful, but the fajitas are always great too! LaTequila Jalisco is the one the locals go to because it’s authentic and tasty! Their breakfast is pretty awesome too and there's no wait like all the places on Main St! This is also a great place to watch sports games on TV! Hours: Fri & Sat 6am-11pm, Sunday 7am-8pm, Mon – Thurs 6am-10pm.

Opas

Opa's Smokehouse

(410 S Washington St) Their chicken salad sandwich is lovely & might be the best you’ve ever had! They sell incredible smoked meats and anything tasty that can come in a jar, but the sweet lady who makes the sandwiches is where our mouths water when we’re hungry! Look for and grab a pad detailing your sandwich preferences and she’ll get back with you with your sandwich ready to go. You can’t dine here, it’s grab and go, but SO worth it! Hours: Monday through Saturday 8am-5:30 (closes at 4pm Saturdays).

Pecan Grove

(5244 N State Highway 16) A little bit of a drive, but well worth it! Enjoy a cold one or glass of wine under the towering Pecan trees while you listen to exceptionally good musical talents. Tying for best burger in Fredericksburg, Pecan Grove has a damn good one! Paired with the seasoned fries (ask for the seasoned ones!), you'll leave with tears in your eyes about how good that Dino burger was! They will be one of your favorite places to visit, we promise! Hours: Wednesday 4-8, Thursay-Saturday Noon-8, Closed Monday-Tuesday.

Silver Creek

Silver Creek Beer Garden & Grille

(310 E Main St) Like your Momma’s, they’re always there when you need them and you’re hungry or thirsty (except Tuesday). This is the best chicken friend steak in Fredericksburg. The pork medallions are awesome and the patio often has live music and heaters in winter. Live music can get kind of loud and if that’s not your thing, seating inside or out back is usually an option. Hours are the best in town: Open every day (except Tuesday) from 11am-1:45am.

Sozial Haus

(107 S Llano St) – Ho. Lee. Moly. Best apps and sandwiches you’ll ever have and the pizzas are incredible too! Favorites: Goat Cheese & Roasted Garlic, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Italian Panini, Chicken Artichoke Melt. This is likely the place for the best French Onion Dip Soup & Sandwich you’ve ever had. Many of us rarely get dessert, but definitely get ready to share the Turtle Cheesecake or the Carrot Cake! YUM!!! Just know this place gets crazy with cranky hungry tourists, but if you’re lucky enough to get Javier as your server, tell him you’re staying at Legacy Ranch. We love Javi and he’ll take great care of you!

(230 E Main St) Where Southern Living meets Art Deco in a French Kitchen. The stairs lead to one of THE MOST savory experiencesyou'll have in Fredericksburg. Eye candy design abounds and the food is out of this world. Be prepared for the guests around you to eye your food as you eye theirs and you each comment to each other how great everything is! Most favorite menu items: Reuben sandwich (Erik said it's the best in Texas) and the French Dip Sandwich (April says it's the best French Dip sandwich of her life), as well as the crawfish etoufee will have you coming back again and again. Consistently great, consistently perfect. Hours: Open from 11-3 Monday-Thursday, 11-9 Friday & Saturday, 11-4 Sunday.

Loca on Main

(339 E Main Street) The most adorable, affordable and hard-not-to-buy-everything shop on Main! Filled with abundant cotton hill country chic, you'll get tons of compliments with these classic yet trendy styles. We absolutely love this expansive store...there's even a comfy space for the hubbies to sit and bond while ladies shop. Get a snack at Sozial Haus around the corner...no sense shopping hangry!
